The challenge

To design new magazine spreads, the readers are professional visual communication designers. Design a grid structure and layout of two featured articles.

The solution

Since designing for a visually sophisticated audience, I paid close attention to the typographic detailing and experimental layouts. For the Letters and Cities article, by Robert Bringhurst, I used gradient maps and collaged elements typography found within my local area by wayfinding to correspond with the article.
